I remember a time when the restaurant dimmed their light during a certain point in the evening. It created a romantic, yet mysterious atmosphere. It was difficult to see details of everything surrounding me, and I noticed the outline of objects and people more. Also, light colors stood out more than usual due to the contrast of those colors with the dimmed light.
